What You'll Learn

Our goal is to provide a well-rounded educational experience while working alongside experienced professionals. Interns will receive hands-on training in many aspects of equine facility management, including:

· Stall cleaning and barn organization

· Equine health observation and basic first aid

· Medication administration (when appropriate)

· Farm and facility maintenance

· Hay, feed, and supply management

Qualifications

· Currently enrolled in college or recently graduated (preferred but not required)

· Previous horse experience is helpful but not required—we are happy to teach motivated individuals.

Assistant Barn Manager

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and horse-savvy Assistant Barn Manager to join our private boarding stable on beautiful Hilton Head Island. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about horse care, enjoys working outdoors, and is looking to become an integral part of a professional boarding operation.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and takes pride in providing exceptional care for both horses and the facility.

Our facility currently houses 24 privately owned horses, offers a multitude of services including training and lessons, and attends approximately 2 local horse shows a month. We are rapidly growing the program which allows for new employment opportunities. This is an ideal position for someone looking to gain experience in the industry.

Responsibilities

· Daily horse care, including feeding and turnout

· Cleaning stalls, paddocks, and barn aisles

· Monitoring horse health and promptly reporting concerns

· Assisting with medication administration as directed
o Ideally capable of administering IM injections and oral meds

· Coordinating turnout schedules and basic barn routines

· Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe facility

· Assisting with ordering and managing hay, feed, and supplies

· Operating farm equipment and completing general property maintenance

· Supporting the Barn Manager with day-to-day operations

· Providing excellent customer service to boarders and visitors

Qualifications

· Previous horse handling and barn experience required

· Knowledge of equine health and behavior
o Recognition of common equine ailments/illnesses and first aid knowledge

· Necessary equine skills for the position include but are not limited to:
o Wrapping, lunging, tacking/untacking, body clipping, mane pulling, blanketing, recovery care, etc.

· Strong work ethic and attention to detail

· Comfortable working early mornings and late nights

· Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions

· Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
o Experience driving a horse trailer preferred

· Ability to work independently while also being a team player

· Weekend and holiday availability

Fleet Maintenance Manager

What You'll Do

As Fleet Maintenance Manager, you'll ensure our fleet, equipment, and facilities remain safe, reliable, and ready to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing and scheduling the daily operations of the Outside Brands Service Yard.
Overseeing preventative maintenance programs for boats, trailers, outboard motors, company vehicles, paddlesports equipment, golf carts, and marine assets.
Maintaining and repairing boats, trailers, marine systems, carts, launch equipment, wiring, electronics, and related equipment.
Coordinating vendor repairs, warranty work, and specialized maintenance.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records, inspections, warranties, and repair history.
Managing inventory of maintenance parts, tools, oils, filters, batteries, and repair supplies.
Supporting U.S. Coast Guard Certificate of Inspection (COI) scheduling and preparation.
Ensuring fleet trailers meet DOT safety and compliance standards.
Assisting with fleet replacement planning and capital asset recommendations.
Coordinating routine maintenance of docks, buildings, storage areas, fencing, signage, and exterior grounds.
Working closely with Operations leadership to minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
Promoting a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Performing other duties as assigned.

Proficient in boat handling and navigation.
Valid driver's license with the ability to tow trailers.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Factory certification on Suzuki or Mercury outboards is highly desirable.
U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain license or equivalent commercial boating experience is a strong advantage.
