Culinary Arts Curriculum Adjunct

The Culinary Institute of the South at Technical College of the Lowcountry is seeking a part time adjunct Culinary instructor to teach our Culinary Arts curriculum. This individual will be responsible for preparing lesson plans for classroom instruction and developing the program syllabi and semester schedule. Evaluating student's progress in attaining goals and objectives. Preparing and maintaining all required administrative reports and documentation. Maintaining knowledge of trends and developments in the field and maintaining all certifications. Meets with students, staff members and other educators to discuss students instructional programs and other issues impacting the progress of students. Manage and submit purchase requests and maintain classrooms supplies. Duties include flexible schedule of lecture, student advisement and registration.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:
Must be ServSafe Manager certified. Possess an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts from a nationally/regionally accredited college or university. Five (5) years of documented/verifiable paid work experience within the past seven (7) years in the Culinary or Baking and Pastry field, with at least one (1) year in a management position. Commitment to exhibit excellence and professionalism in the classroom and in the community.

Preferred Qualifications:
American Culinary Federation (ACF) certification at CWPC (Certified Working Pastry Chef) or CCE (Certified Culinary Educator) or Certified Chef de Cuisine (CCC) or higher or Certified Executive Chef (CEC). Clinical Coordinator-PTA Instructor

INSTRUCTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

1.Work with members of the PTA Program, Director, other faculty members, and the PTA Advisory Committee to plan for new and existing programs and courses.
2.Assist in the development of the PTA curricula for students in the PTA Program.
3.Evaluate courses within the PTA Program.
4.Assist in the development and refinement of curricula of PTA courses.

TEACHING PERFORMANCE

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

Required (bachelor's degree or Higher in Physical Therapy or Clinical Doctorate Degree preferred), three (3) to five (5) years clinical experience in therapeutic, exercise, orthopedics or geriatrics with teaching experience in the classroom or clinical setting required. Must be a licensed PT or licensed eligible in South Carolina. Neurology background and ACCE experience is preferred.

Financial Aid Coordinator

1.Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program, including collaborating with on-campus departments and off-campus community partners to identify and develop eligible FWS positions; collecting and maintaining position descriptions and required agreements; posting and updating FWS job opportunities on institutional platforms; processing employment and eligibility documentation; coordinating with Human Resources and Payroll regarding hiring, contract updates, and employment changes; developing and delivering training materials, orientation presentations, and handbooks for supervisors and student employees; assigning and monitoring FWS award codes; reconciling and monitoring FWS budgets and expenditures; maintaining accurate records and audit-ready documentation; and ensuring compliance with federal regulations, institutional policies, and program deadlines.

2.Provides exceptional service and financial aid advising through accurate and clear delivery of information related to Federal Title IV student financial aid, state aid, and other forms of private student financial aid. Assists with completion of the FAFSA; gathers, interprets, reviews, and analyzes documentation for eligibility and requests additional documentation for incomplete or inconsistent applications to perform accurate needs analysis and verification of files. Performs packaging and awarding functions. Ensures compliance with all federal and state regulations applicable to the delivery of financial aid. Maintains files in compliance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines. Conducts financial aid and scholarship information sessions. Ensures all student/parent information is safe-guarded according to general FERPA regulations, institutional policies, and with extended restrictions of Financial Aid policies and procedures.

3. Administers and coordinates the awarding and processing of all miscellaneous third-party scholarships, internal TCL Foundation scholarships, and Veterans and Military educational benefits, including but not limited to Chapters 33, 31, 35. And MYCAA. Collaborates with the Business Office to ensure accurate receipt, posting, reconciliation, and disbursement of third-party scholarship funding; works closely with the TCL Foundation Office and Business Office to coordinate the awarding, processing, and tracking of institutional foundation scholarships; and partners with the Military & Veterans Office to certify enrollment, process VA educational benefits, and ensure compliance with applicable federal and institutional regulations. Reviews and adjusts state, federal, institutional, and other financial aid awards as necessary to prevent over-awards and maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, VA, and institutional policies and procedures, including adjustments related to students receiving South Carolina Senior Citizen Tuition Waivers and TCL Employee Tuition Waivers. Maintains accurate records, monitors student eligibility, resolves discrepancies, performs account reviews and reconciliations as needed, and provides guidance and support to students regarding scholarship programs, tuition waivers, and veterans educational benefits.

4)Manages the identification and review components of the Return to Title IV (R2T4) process, including generating and reviewing R2T4 reports; identifying students who require official or unofficial withdrawal calculations; monitoring enrollment activity and withdrawal status changes; coordinating the timely referral of student records for R2T4 processing; maintaining accurate tracking and documentation records; and collaborating with the designated R2T4 processor to review completed calculations for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with U.S. Department of Education regulations and institutional policies.

5)Assists with monitoring and the evaluation of student financial aid satisfactory academic progress (SAP). Assists with adjudication of student appeals relating to academic progress including, but not limited to, tracking student appeals, tracking of documents and updates to SAP eligibility and communication. Processes end of term functions, checking academic plan completion and cancellation of aid as needed.

6) Assists with creation and maintenance of Dynamic Forms and the Financial Aid Electronic Scheduler. Also ensures proper functioning and maintenance of US Department of Education software and Ellucian software. Assists the Director of Financial Aid with Ellucian software update testing, troubleshoots software issues, and works with Ellucian to submit and work support tickets for issues with communication management, packaging, and awarding.

7)Assists with the maintenance of the Financial Aid webpages to ensure accurate and up-to-date information. Annually ensures Net Price Calculator and Shopping Sheet are updated. Assists in audits, program review, and reconciliation processes. Provides research assistance on financial aid regulations and provides recommendations regarding policy and compliance. Creates federal and state reports, as needed.

8)Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and financial aid experience. Equivalencies may be considered.

$39,300.00 - $66,800.00 Annual

Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Program Director

Job Duties:

Instructional Development
1.Work with members of the Advisory Committee to participate in planning for new and existing programs and courses.
2.Assist in the development of curricula for students in the Medical Laboratory Technology Program.
3.Evaluate courses in the Medical Laboratory Technology curricula.
4.Assist in the development and refinement of curricula for Medical Laboratory Technology courses.

Teaching Performance
1.Teach courses as assigned and in accordance with the established syllabi.
2.Provide high quality instruction for students in the Medical Laboratory Technology Program.
3.Evaluate the accomplishments of students on a regular basis.
4.Participate in the Faculty Performance Management System.
5.Achieve at least a 3.5 on student evaluations and satisfactory peer/supervisor evaluations.

Student Advisement
1.Work with the Student Services Division in the selection, recruitment, admission and retention of students and cooperate with the division to utilize counseling services.
2.Advise and maintain records of assigned student advisees in accordance with the School of Health Sciences and TCL policy and procedures.
3.Provide effective academic achievement for students enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Technology Program.
4.Maintain office hours as required and needed by students, faculty, and advisees.

Professional Development
1.Represent the School of Health Sciences and the College by participating in community and professional meetings.
2.Attend relevant professional meetings.
3.Maintain a current awareness of educational innovations and trends appropriate to Medical Laboratory Technology education.
4.Engage and complete the required minimal continuing professional development as required by NAACLS.

College/Community Service
1.Oversee activities related to compliance with the program specific accreditation criteria including the requirements set by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).
2.Act as a liaison to communicate between the College and program specific accreditation committees including NAACLS.
3.Actively participate in activities to select, recruit, admit and retain students.
4.Maintain contacts with appropriate professional and community organizations/individuals in the college service area.
5.Serve actively on college committees.
6.Participate in School of Health Science’s meetings as assigned.
7.Participate in marketing activities for the Medical Laboratory Technology Program.
8.Work cooperatively with other School of Health Sciences faculty members and college departments to meet the educational needs of students.

Instructional Management
1.Maintain proper control and effective use of all physical facilities and supplies.
2.Prepare reports in cooperation with School of Health Sciences Dean for input into the planning/reporting system.
3.Develop and administer student regulations within the program and school in a fair and equitable manner.
4.Ensure communication of policies, procedures, and campus information to all students.
5.Perform additional duties, as assigned by the School of Health Sciences Dean.
6.Maintain standards applicable for program accreditation.
7.Review and approve purchase requests prior to submission to the dean.
8.Oversee Medical Laboratory Technology class schedule preparation.
9.Prepare budgets in cooperation with School of Health Sciences Dean.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:
Must possess an earned master's or doctoral degree and hold ASCP-BOC or ASCPi-BOC generalist certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist. The program director must also have three years of teaching experience, along with knowledge of educational methods and administration, as well as current NAACLS accreditation procedures.
