Job Duties:

• Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction, while providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service.
• Takes food and beverage orders and prepares to standards and in a promptly manner.
• Setup café, creates menu, appropriate signage and specials for daily service
• Accepts payment and utilizes proper cash handling procedures.
• Execute all financial transactions according to college policy.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, comprehend and communicate clearly to others.
• Professional appearance and attitude for daily interaction with students, coworkers, and to the public. Maintains excellent personal hygiene, uniform complete and in model condition daily
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple customers at the same time
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend reach, squat, climb, reach above head, carry, and lift (up to 40 pounds /-) Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Work with students to ensure proper food handling, presentation, and quality
• Preparing and serving ready-to-eat food and maintaining a clean, sanitized, area
• Perform all duties assigned in an effective, timely, and professional manner
* Provide training to students who assist in the café during by giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed
• Rotate and maintain product to sell dates to ensure the freshest product possible
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management and staff Side work
• Maintains service and sanitation standards according to health code regulations.
• Establish and maintain par stocks of all supplies, inventory, order and restock supplies as needed.
• Keeps café clean and organized at all times.
• Attend all required training and department meetings

Minimum and Additional Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent

ServSafe Food Protection Manager’s Certification, a plus

ServSafe Food Handler Certificate, a plus

Food Service and Barista experience preferred

Detail oriented, passionate about product quality and able to maintain calm demeaner in periods of high volume

Assigned uniform requirements

Salary: $18.00 Hourly

Nursing Instructor

Job Duties:

INSTRUCTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

1.Work with members of the Nursing Advisory Committee to participate in planning for new and existing programs and courses.

2.Assist in the development of nursing curricula for students in nursing programs.

3.Evaluate courses in the nursing curriculum.

4.Assist in the refinement of curricula for nursing courses.

TEACHING PERFORMANCE

1.Teach courses as assigned and in accordance with the established syllabi.

2.Provide high quality instruction for students in the nursing program using varied instructional delivery techniques including clinical rotations.

3.Evaluate the accomplishments of students on a regular basis.

4.Participate in the Faculty Performance Management System.

5.Achieve at least a 3.5 on student evaluations and satisfactory peer/supervisor evaluations.

STUDENT ADVISEMENT

1.Advise and maintain records of assigned student advisees in accordance with division policies and procedures.

2.Provide effective academic advisement for students enrolled in the Nursing Program by using the services of staff specialists and coordinators.

3.Maintain office hours as required and needed by students, faculty, and advisees.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

1.Represent the Division and College by participating in community and professional activities.

2.Participate in professional continuing education opportunities.

3.Maintain a current awareness of educational innovations and trends appropriate to nursing education.

COLLEGE AND/OR COMMUNITY SERVICE

1.Actively participate in activities to select, recruit, admit, and retain students.

2.Maintain contacts with appropriate professional and community organizations/individuals in the College service area.

3.Serve actively on College committees.

4.Participate in Division of Health Sciences meetings as assigned.

INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT

1.Maintain proper control and effective use of all physical facilities and supplies in the assigned division.

2.Prepare reports in cooperation with division dean for input into the planning/reporting system.

3.Insure communication of policies, procedures, and campus information to all students.

4.Perform additional duties, as assigned by the division dean and nursing program director.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:
Minimum of a Master’s of Science in Nursing required, minimum three years clinical experience required and two years teaching experience preferred. Recent acute care experience preferred.
