About Us:

We’re Honey & Thistle—a cozy little wine and mead shop that feels more like your living room than a stuffy tasting room. We pour small-batch wines, meads, ciders, and beers exclusively from family-owned producers who have incredible stories (think fourth-generation beekeepers making mead in Michigan or a husband-and-wife team farming ancient vines in Portugal).

Whether you’re brand-new to wine or you’ve got a cellar full, our tastings are relaxed, educational, and unpretentious—we just want you to discover something delicious you’ve never tried before.

The vibe feels like Central Perk from Friends, except instead of coffee, we’re passing around great wines, meads, ciders, and beers, laughing, and making new friends.

Seasonal, part-time position beginning immediately

2-4 days a week (mainly Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday with some flexibility)

Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities
- Ability to handle day-to-day operations of a tasting room, developing an inviting and satisfying guest experience.
- Uphold themselves with integrity and kindness.
- Ability to communicate well with customers and co-workers.
- Handling cash and sales appropriately and correctly.
- Maintain a neat and clean tasting room.
- Follow an assigned schedule and arrive to work on-time.
- Basic understanding of the qualities of wine.

Qualifications
- Guest Focus - The ability to ensure guest satisfaction with their experience. Be a great listener, and anticipate needs.
- Fluent in English
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
- Basic math skills for retail transactions
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Proficient in operating cash registers or other point-of-sale systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively

Bartender

Omni Hilton Head is seeking an enthusiastic and service-driven Bartender to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional, friendly service while creating a welcoming atmosphere and maintaining a clean, professional, and top-quality bar experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Mix drinks for servers according to standard recipes.
Familiarity with the wine list and the stemware and appropriate garnishes used.
Follow procedures as outlined in employee manual and bartenders manual. Jigger pour, making drinks for servers only when rung in on Micros.
Keep bar stocked and clean. Follow sidework sheet.
Monitor inventory.
Ensure the consistency in the presentation and recipes of all cocktails
Be familiar with and enforce all policies related to liquor liability laws.
Be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years bartending experience.
Extensive wine knowledge.
One-year restaurant experience.
Pleasant personality.
Excellent communication skills.
TIPS certification required

Server

Responsibilities:
Provide welcoming, attentive service from greeting to farewell

Take accurate food & beverage orders and make thoughtful recommendations

Collaborate closely with the culinary and bar teams to ensure timely service

Maintain a clean, organized section and uphold health & safety standards

Handle payments and follow proper cash-handling procedures

Anticipate guest needs — resolving issues with professionalism and care

Promote specials, events, and offerings to enhance the dining experience

Qualifications:
Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred (we’ll train the right person)

Warm communicator with a genuine passion for guest service

Ability to multitask and stay positive during busy shifts

Strong attention to detail and teamwork mindset

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Must meet age requirement for serving alcohol (where applicable)

Steward

At Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort, exceptional dining experiences begin behind the scenes. As a Steward, you are an essential part of the culinary team, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment that supports efficient operations and the highest standards of sanitation and service.

This role is ideal for a dependable, hardworking individual who takes pride in teamwork, cleanliness, and contributing to memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and kitchen equipment following health and safety standards

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, storage rooms, and back-of-house spaces

Assist with trash removal, recycling, and proper waste handling

Support culinary operations by organizing clean equipment and restocking supplies

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and Omni brand standards

Assist with deep cleaning projects and special assignments as directed by leadership

Qualifications

Previous stewarding, dishwashing, or kitchen experience preferred but not required

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Strong reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail

Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities
Prepare all items on prep list following standard procedure or otherwise told by supervisor.
Maintain high quality at all times. Inspect all food products for quality when working on prep list and service line.
Check portion control, weights and counts prior to function.
Fire all food for service and to serve on the line.
Maintain/check cooking times and temperatures.
Follow all storage procedures when taking food out of walk-in and when returning food to walk-in.
Maintain cleanliness of work area at all times.
Keep walk-in, prep area and equipment up to Health Department standards at all times.
Support procedures for food & beverage portion and waste controls.
Maintains all coolers and freezers, prep area and equipment up to State of South Carolina Health Department codes at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
