Position Summary

The Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce & Visitor & Convention Bureau is seeking an organized, customer-focused Sales Operations Coordinator to support the daily operations of our destination sales team.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring meeting planners receive exceptional service while supporting hotel partners, maintaining CRM data integrity, coordinating sales initiatives, preparing proposals and presentations, and assisting with trade shows, site visits, and reporting.

Primary Responsibilities

Sales Operations

• Support the Director of Sales and Senior Manager of Group Sales with daily sales activities.

• Coordinate meeting planner requests and follow-up communications.

• Maintain sales calendars and project timelines.

• Assist with lead distribution and tracking.

• Coordinate site inspections and familiarization tours.

CRM and Data Management

• Maintain accurate records within the Simpleview CRM.

• Enter and update leads, opportunities, contacts, and activities.

• Monitor data quality and recommend process improvements.

• Generate reports and dashboards for leadership and hotel partners.

Hotel Partner Relations

• Serve as a touch point between the Chamber and local hotel partners.

Trade Shows and Events

Qualifications

Required

Maintenance Technician

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinates the servicing and repairing of systems for lighting, heating, ventilating, fire, drainage, plumbing, electrical, painting and related maintenance activities.
Completes regular inspection and servicing of all HVAC units and changes filters as per usual schedule.
Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) required by club’s PM procedures.

Check water well for chlorine level in drum, tank level, and record daily water usage.
Oversee daily operation of treatment plant and record effluent flow reading.
Monitors all areas of the Club and records deficiencies
Keeps the work shop areas safe, clean and well-lit.
Ensures that all refuse is properly removed from the clubhouse and its premises.
Responds to emergencies at any time.
Collects maintenance and work orders from department heads for approval by the Director of Facilities Maintenance.
Ensures a highly efficient safety program with an emphasis on awareness, discipline and compliance; implements an overall safety program that conforms to OSHA standards.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIORNMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.

Position involves sitting, standing, stopping, kneeling, bending, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects that can weigh up to 75 lbs. This can occur throughout the day.

Executing Revenue Management Projects and Strategy

• Manages room authorizations, rates and restrictions.

• Manages function space authorizations, restrictions and rental.

• Manages rooms inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue.

• Maintains the transient rooms inventory for the hotel(s) and responsible for maximizing transient revenue.

• Releases group rooms back into general inventory and ensures clean booking windows for customers

POSITION SUMMARY

Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Carry equipment (e.g., tools, radio). Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Communicate each day’s activities and problems that occur to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards. Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building. Perform all surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement and the complete and thorough cleanup of the painting or repair area. Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items. Program TV's and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work. Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping as well as external landscaping sprinklers. Display basic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.

Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Adhere to quality expectations and standards.
