Senior Golf Course Mechanic

This position is responsible for repair and maintenance of all golf course equipment in a proper and timely manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Maintain the maintenance facility, inside and out, in a clean and safe condition for an efficient and safe work environment for mechanics and all staff so as to meet OSHA, DHEC, and Town of Hilton Head Fire Department
Order parts and materials needed to repair equipment in accordance with financial procedures dictated by the Manager, Equipment Maintenance.
Ensure that all reels are sharpened and properly maintained as directed by the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor.
Schedule work load in a priority manner of importance. Priority will be decided with Golf Course Superintendent, along with the Manager of Equipment Maintenance.
Record and document all work performed on equipment in an orderly arrangement so as to be able to file in a filing system.
Be responsible for inventory of parts, tools and materials used within the golf maintenance shop facility.
Maintain gas and fuel tanks.
Ensure that equipment maintenance is provided on weekends and holidays.
Ensure that all safety devices are in place and in operation.
Responsible for small engine repair: flymo and weedeaters.
Work whatever hours are necessary to properly maintain equipment for every-day tasks.

Golf Course Irrigation Technician

Maintain proper irrigation on all grounds; operate and care for golf course maintenance equipment; maintain golf course grounds.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Designs, implements, and maintains mechanical and electrical components of complex irrigation system (Toro).
Repairs equipment associated with irrigation.
Performs preventive maintenance on all equipment associated with irrigation.
Maintains records on all equipment maintenance associated with irrigation.
Maintains inventory of parts needed for irrigation equipment.
Irrigates all grounds as needed.
Performs special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Conducts all work in compliance with OSHA standards, guidelines, personal protective equipment etc.
Complies with all Resort policies and procedures.
Operates and maintains golf course equipment when necessary.
Follows all state and local safety and environmental standards.
Other duties as directed.

REQUIREMENTS

Extensive knowledge of turf, soil, fertilizers, pesticides, golf course equipment and irrigation technology.
Possess strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work flexible schedule and long hours when necessary.
Keen attention to detail and strong sense of urgency.
Proven work experience as an irrigation tech.
Knowledge of irrigation and electrical timer systems.

Merchandise Sales Associate

This position is responsible for the overall guest experience as it relates to time spent in the Retail Pro Shop, while supporting the activities of the Merchandise Manager.

Deliver exceptional customer service by providing personalized assistance and building strong customer relationships on the sales floor
Keep professional attitude and appearance, striving for complete customer satisfaction
Drive sales through effective product knowledge, suggestive selling, and upselling techniques.
Maintain a visually appealing and organized sales floor by creating engaging product displays.
Manage inventory levels and ensure proper stockroom organization.
Process merchandise deliveries, ensuring proper labeling and tagging.
Maintain a clean and orderly shop environment through constant inspection.
Protect products through loss prevention measures.
Identify space needed for new collections or outgoing merchandise
Demonstrate strong product knowledge
Provide support across all three Pro Shops (Robert Trent Jones, George Fazio, and Arthur Hills).
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall team and store operations.

Requirements

The Job

A typical day for a housekeeper at the Holiday Inn starts around 8am when you receive your list of rooms to clean for the day. You will clean approximately 2-3 rooms per hour independently.
