Staff Accountant
Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour (DOE)
Alarm Fire & Security is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position supports the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing company and offers an excellent growth opportunity for a motivated accounting professional looking to expand their experience.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to accounts payable, payroll, account reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvements.
Responsibilities
•Process Accounts Payable
•Manage Purchase Orders (POs)
•Maintain vendor records and relationships
•Assist with payroll processing, with the opportunity to assume payroll responsibilities
•Support month-end close
•Perform account and vendor statement reconciliations
•Assist with financial reporting and other accounting projects
•Support process improvements and other ad hoc accounting initiatives
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting knowledge and experience required
•Experience with an ERP or accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred)
•Strong Microsoft Excel skills
•Understanding of accrual accounting and account reconciliations
•Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
•Strong organizational skills
•Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
Schedule
100% On-Site
•Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM with a 30 minute lunch
•Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
