Full Time School Nurse

Key Responsibilities
● Provide daily nursing care, first aid, and emergency response to students and staff.
● Manage chronic health conditions, including diabetes care (blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration, and coordination with families and healthcare providers).
● Administer daily and as-needed medications in accordance with physician orders, parental authorization, and school policy.
● Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans and emergency action plans for students with medical needs.
● Maintain accurate health records, medication logs, and immunization compliance.
● Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student health concerns and ongoing care.
● Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student well-being and safety.
● Promote health education and wellness initiatives across all grade levels.
● Monitor communicable diseases and implement infection control procedures.
● Participate in emergency preparedness planning, drills, and crisis response.
● Support the School’s leadership with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
● Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-required)
● CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
● Experience with pediatric nursing, school nursing, or chronic condition management preferred
● Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
● Ability to work independently while maintaining strict confidentiality
● Comfort working with students across a wide developmental range (primarily ages 4–18, but could include 15 months to 3 years)
