Principal Planner

What You Will Do
- Provides day-to-day project leadership by planning and prioritizing tasks;
- Ensures timely processing and completion of development review applications;
- Demonstrates continuous and measurable efforts to improve operations and procedures, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service;
- Interprets and administers provisions of Town’s Land Management Ordinance development-type applications
- Leads interdisciplinary project teams on complex planning initiatives,
- Makes decisions, clarifies issues according to the LMO and Comprehensive Plan and answers inquiries;
- Monitors effectiveness of land use policies, ordinances, and planning initiatives;
- Oversees assigned boards, commissions, and committees

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Driver’s license
- American Institute of Certified Planner (AICP) preferred
