Personal Lines Account Manager – Independent Insurance Agency (South Carolina)

No Experience Required — Licensing Provided

Position Overview We are seeking a motivated, detail oriented Personal Lines Account Manager to join our independent insurance agency. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, personable, and eager to build a long term career in the insurance industry. No prior insurance experience is necessary. We will provide training and support, and you will be required to obtain all pertinent South Carolina insurance licenses, including the Property & Casualty Producer License, within a defined timeframe.

This position primarily supports personal lines clients, with opportunities to assist in commercial lines, marketing, and general agency operations.

Key Responsibilities

Personal Lines (Primary Focus)

•Assist clients with new quotes, policy changes, renewals, and coverage questions
•Prepare applications, process endorsements, and maintain accurate client records
•Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and in person communication
•Review policies for accuracy and identify coverage gaps or opportunities

Commercial Lines (Support Role)

•Assist the commercial producer with certificates, applications, and basic servicing
•Gather underwriting information and help prepare submissions
•Communicate with carriers and clients as needed

Marketing & Agency Support

•Participate in agency marketing initiatives, including social media, email campaigns, and community outreach
•Help maintain agency CRM and workflow systems
•Support general office operations and contribute to a positive team environment

Required Qualifications

•High school diploma or equivalent
•Strong communication and customer service skills
•Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and work independently
•Comfortable with technology, including email, CRM systems, and basic office software

Licensing Requirements

Candidates must obtain the following South Carolina licenses (training and guidance provided):

•South Carolina Property & Casualty Producer License
•Additional licenses may be required depending on agency needs (e.g., Life & Health)

Licensing must be completed within the agency’s required timeframe after hire.

Preferred

•Customer service, administrative, retail, or office experience
