GIS Internship

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Assist in collecting, updating and maintaining GIS data related to infrastructure, and environmental resources
- Create and edit maps various internal departments
- Conduct spatial analysis to support decision-making processes
- Perform field data collection using GPS and mobile GIS applications
- Assist with quality control and documentation of GIS datasets
- Support the development of interactive web maps and dashboards using ArcGIS Online
- Research and integrate external datasets into the Town's GIS system
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing GIS

QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Computer Science or related field
- Experience using ArcGIS Online, and GIS-related software
- Familiarity with data management, spatial analysis and cartographic principals
- Experience with GPS data collection and mobile GIS application is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of team
- Strong communication and organizational skills

Competitive hourly pay starting at $18-$20/hour

Internship expected to last May - August
