Experienced Cooks

Company: Beach House, Hilton Head Island
Location: Hilton Head Island, SC

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Execute opening and/or closing procedures
  • Check quality and freshness of ingredients
  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat)
  • Monitor inventory levels
  • Adhere to recipes including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
  • Follow all health and safety procedures
  • Cook food with various utensils, grillers, fryers, ovens, and smoker
  • Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
  • Modify or prepare items to accommodate individual allergies
  • Keep temperature logs
  • Handle multiple orders at a time
  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment
  • Adhere to cleaning standards
  • Wash cookware, utensils, dishes, and serve ware to sanitation standards
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly according to guidelines
  • Store all food properly
  • Organize and maintain kitchen storage areas


  • At least one year of culinary experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club 
  • Speak fluent English
  • Able to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time
  • Willing to share in working days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays
