Company: Beach House, Hilton Head Island
Location: Hilton Head Island, SC
Duties and Responsibilities:Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Execute opening and/or closing procedures
Check quality and freshness of ingredients
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat)
Monitor inventory levels
Adhere to recipes including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
Follow all health and safety procedures
Cook food with various utensils, grillers, fryers, ovens, and smoker
Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
Modify or prepare items to accommodate individual allergies
Keep temperature logs
Handle multiple orders at a time
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment
Adhere to cleaning standards
Wash cookware, utensils, dishes, and serve ware to sanitation standards
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly according to guidelines
Store all food properly
Organize and maintain kitchen storage areas
Requirements:
At least one year of culinary experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club
Speak fluent English
Able to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time
Willing to share in working days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays
