Commercial Diesel Mechanic Helper

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Mechanics:
Support mechanics with repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics.
Help disassemble and reassemble vehicle components.
Perform basic tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
Tool and Equipment Handling:
Retrieve and organize tools and parts as needed.
Clean and maintain tools and shop equipment.
Vehicle Maintenance:
Check fluid levels, replace filters, and inspect hoses and belts.
Assist with lubrication and greasing of moving parts.
Shop Cleanliness and Organization:
Keep the work area clean and organized.
Dispose of hazardous materials following safety protocols.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear.
Comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications:

Experience:
Previous experience in a repair shop or mechanical role is a plus but not required.
Willingness to learn and take direction.
Skills:
Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with tools.
Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Vocational training in mechanics is a plus.

Work Schedule and Conditions:

Monday to Friday (11am – 7:30pm), with occasional weekends or overtime.
Exposure to noise, grease, and heavy machinery.
30 Minute Lunch Break

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $20 per hour
